We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer I to join our team within the natural gas public improvement industry. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced engineers.
A Design Engineer I starts the day by assisting with engineering tasks assigned by a senior engineer, ensuring precision and adherence to standards. They actively participate in team meetings and project discussions to maintain alignment and clarity and monitor design requests to accurately apply feedback and adjustments. Throughout the day, they focus on meeting project deadlines, managing tasks efficiently, and maintaining quality standards. They also take opportunities to ask questions, seek feedback, and engage in self-study to continuously improve their engineering skills and knowledge.
We are seeking candidates in Seattle, WA. This role offers remote flexibility and will require occasional site visits and in-person meetings. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions for occasional project and client visits.
- 0-2 years of experience in engineering, with transportation or utility coordination.
- Keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Basic understanding of project management principles.

- This position pays between $67,000 and $74,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
