Dermatology Medical Assistant/LVN/Scribe (or Pre-med & Pre-PA)

About Dermatology & Aesthetics Practice:

Our Laguna Niguel Dermatology Practice is seeking the right candidate for a Medical Assistant or LVN position. Students in their gap years before medical school or PA school are also encouraged to apply. This full-time position is available immediately. Previous experience in cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, scribing, or medical offices is preferred but not required. We are looking for a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced team environment and is willing to take on front office and back office duties. Our busy practice requires a proactive, friendly candidate with strong attention to detail, while also maintaining strong interpersonal skills and quality patient care.

This is a great position for gaining hands-on clinical experience, patient interaction in healthcare, and valuable time learning from knowledgeable and board-certified providers.

Job Responsibilities:

- Greeting, checking in/out, and scheduling patients

- Verifying insurance, collecting copayments/patient balances

- Collecting patient medical history and scribing during office visits

- Preparing charts using our medical software application

- Inputting lab/biopsy orders

- Setting up rooms prior to procedures

- Complete office and patient room inventory

- Stock and clean office areas

- Comfortable using Medical software applications

- Ability to gain knowledge of our products and services offered to patients

- Excellent time management

- Dependable, trustworthy, enthusiastic, positive attitude

- Resourceful and Proactive

- Work well with others in a team environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Pleasant and friendly on the phone and in person

Qualifications: Medical Assistant

- All applicants welcome, but preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor’s degree or a background in science
