Champion is looking for a Demolition Superintendent to support ongoing work within our SE Operations team. The Superintendent will report to the Director of Operations.
The role of a Demolition Superintendent involves overseeing the execution of demolition projects on-site.
- Lead site level operations for multiple demolition and abatement projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Provide direction, coaching and mentorship to foremen, operators, sub contractors and craft
- Review project scope and work with the client to align execution with cost, schedule and quality expectations.
- Attend job site to provide support, troubleshoot issues and ensure work is progressing as planned.
- Escalate issues to Director of Operations for support
- Support incident investigations timely and accurately.

- Coordinate with crews, conduct safety briefings, manage equipment and materials and maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Ideally, 25 years of experience in demolition of multi-story buildings
- Experience and knowledge of asbestos removal and disposal
- Experience with lead paint abatement and concrete recycling
- Experience in demolition of buildings within a nuclear power plant site is an asset
- Understanding of radiological hazards, training and awareness
- Experience and understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements ( CBA_
- Willingness to travel and work away from primary residence for extended periods.
