Location: Pasco, Washington Schedule: Full Time 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
The Delivery Driver I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles to complete scheduled routes, deliver and service containers, and support operational needs. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards and consistent execution of delivery and yard responsibilities. Drivers are expected to operate independently, assist team members as needed, and maintain professionalism when representing Basin Disposal.
- Make safety a priority at all times.
- Be courteous with all customers, both internal and external.
- Report any concerns with equipment, routes, or customers to a Manager or Lead.
- Clock in at the start and end of scheduled shifts.
- Report to work as scheduled and wear a clean employee uniform.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Continuously meet driver expectations and requirements, including pre- and post-trip inspections, fueling/washing trucks, Vehicle Inspection Reports (VIR), radio usage, securing loads, and safe reversing procedures.
- Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with company procedures and standards, including fueling vehicles at the end of shift.
- Comply with all safety standards and requirements, including timely completion of accident reports.
- Report safety or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Ensure daily readiness of delivery equipment, including:
- Stocking and maintaining cart bullpen and overflow areas.
- Inspecting yard and addressing housekeeping needs.
- Setting up, repairing, washing, stacking, or disposing of carts and containers as required.
- Conducting quarterly yard inventory (carts, front load containers, roll-offs).
- Safely dispose of landfill extras picked up on route.
- Participate in on-the-job training to operate additional trucks and equipment.
- Follow oral and written instructions while maintaining independent work practices.
- Observe legal and defensive driving practices at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including recurring responsibilities added to the Position Agreement.

- Schedules may include holidays based on operational needs.
- Drivers will take 30 minutes per shift for lunch
- Rest at appropriate times; two – 15-minute breaks
- Daily fieldwork requiring travel from site to site.
- Year-round outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to waste, blood-borne pathogens, insects, animals, and other exterior hazards.
- Moderate to loud noise environments.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing into/out of vehicles, and repetitive hand use.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. routinely and up to 90 lbs. occasionally using proper lifting techniques.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive grasping, reaching, and handling.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant driving or delivery experience preferred.
- Licensing/Certification: Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
