Position Title: Data Scientist

Reports To: Manager, Data Science
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to join our innovative technology team. This is a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities can shift quickly, so adaptability, teamwork, and strong communication are essential. The ideal candidate is a curious problem-solver who thrives on uncovering insights from large datasets and translating them into practical solutions that drive business performance. You will collaborate across departments to develop machine learning models, automate data flows, and turn complex information into actionable intelligence.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Analyze complex datasets to discover trends, correlations, and opportunities for optimization
•Build, test, and deploy machine learning models that support key business objectives
•Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and operational stakeholders to design impactful data products
•Develop and evaluate time series models for forecasting and anomaly detection in operational data
•Develop frameworks and tools for automated data collection, cleansing, and validation
•Create clear and engaging visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
•Leverage cloud-based tools (especially AWS and Snowflake) to build scalable and efficient solutions
•Integrate structured and unstructured data sources to expand analytical capabilities
•Apply statistical techniques such as clustering, regression, and time-series modeling to solve business challenges
•Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve data quality, access, and governance
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
•5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics roles
•Strong background in Python or R, SQL, and applied machine learning
•Proven ability to define, structure, and solve complex problems
•Hands-on experience with data visualization tools
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
•Experience collaborating across engineering, operations, and business functions
•Demonstrated experience working with time series data, including forecasting models and anomaly detection techniques
Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)
•Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
•Experience working with graph structures and network analysis
•Exposure to preventative maintenance or equipment monitoring use cases
•Knowledge of the oil and gas industry and industrial data workflows
•Experience deploying and utilizing Digital Twins
•Experience with AWS services such as S3, SageMaker, Lambda, and TwinMaker
