The Data Program Manager leads our Data as a Product and Data as a Service (DaaP & DaaS) initiatives across the enterprise, delivers curated, governed, and insight-ready data products and services that support analytics, digital transformation, and operational efficiency. The Data Program Manager acts as the nexus between product management, data engineering, analytics, and governance to enable self-service data consumption and business agility.
Major Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Program Delivery
- Leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide Data as a Product and Data as a Service in partnership with the DBO- DA&I function.
- Defines and tracks program OKRs focused on data quality, time-to-value, self-service access, and customer satisfaction.
- Aligns data delivery initiatives with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and technology roadmaps.
- Manages the intake for data capabilities and services and lead prioritization and road mapping
Data Product & Master Data Management (MDM)
- Partners with data domain owners to define and deliver scalable, governed, and reusable data products built on a strong foundation of MDM
- Drives the standardization and stewardship of master data entities (e.g., customer, vendor, product) to ensure consistency across all data products and services
- Operationalizes data product lifecycle management and integrate MDM controls into consumption pipelines
- Designs and oversees the delivery of DaaS offerings—standardized APIs, event streams, or data feeds—for internal and external consumers
- Collaborates with data platform teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant access to data services through cataloging and APIs
- Promotes reusability and service-oriented architecture principles to support cross-domain data sharing and agility
- Partners with analytics and business intelligence teams to ensure data products and services are analytics-ready and drive measurable insights
- Prioritizes use cases that deliver business value through descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
- Facilitates data democratization and literacy by providing well-documented, easy-to-consume data products and services
- Acts as a central point of coordination between data engineering, business product owners, analytics leaders, and business stakeholders
- Translates business needs into data product/service requirements (at an Epic and Feature Level) and manage trade-offs between delivery speed, quality, and scope
- Works with data engineering to Embed data governance, lineage, and quality controls into all data products and services
- Leverages tools such as data catalogs, observability platforms, and MDM systems to drive trust and accountability
- Enforces security, access controls, and regulatory compliance across the data ecosystem
- Drives the cultural shift toward data-as-a-product and service thinking—emphasizing ownership, discoverability, and value delivery
- Leads communication and enablement efforts for business and technical stakeholders, including training, demos, and documentation to drive adoption
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- SAFe Product Owner Certification - Project Management Certification
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise data management, data product development, or related product and program leadership roles
- Deep expertise in data strategy, MDM, analytics enablement, and data platform delivery
- Proven experience implementing or managing DaaS platforms, MDM systems (e.g., Profisee, Informatica), data analytics platforms (i.e. Palantir, Crux etc) and cloud-native data architectures
- Familiarity with API-first design, data cataloging (e.g., Collibra, Alation), and data marketplaces
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, stakeholder management, and outcome-driven product thinking
- Experience with federated data ownership models
- Industry experience in manufacturing
- Product management certifications or Agile/Scrum credentials
- Working knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, etc.)
