Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and assisting them in their steel product requirements. In addition, you will work closely with our sales and operations teams to coordinate and fulfill orders, resolve issues, and drive sales growth.
Responsibilities:
•Order Management: Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently through the MIS Operating system, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established procedures. Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill orders and ensure timely delivery.
•Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences. Regularly communicate with customers to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure overall satisfaction.
•Customer Support: Serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
•Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our steel products, including their features, benefits, and applications. Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
•Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner. Escalate complex problems to the appropriate departments and follow up to ensure prompt resolution.
•Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, orders, and other relevant information. Generate reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends as required.
•Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and logistics, to ensure smooth order processing, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
•Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service abilities. Provide suggestions for process improvements and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus.
•Proven experience in customer service or inside sales, preferably in the automotive or steel industry.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
•Proficient computer skills, including MS Office suite, Michigan Information Systems (MIS) experience is a plus.
•Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.
•Flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs and business demands.
