Current AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

If you are a current AWS CWI who is tired of traveling from job to job doing contract work and would like to slow down and work in one location, this job could be for you.

We are looking to hire a current AWS CWI ( Certified Welding Inspector ) full time for our steel fabrication shop. This job requires no travel and is in a low-stress environment.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a current AWS CWI

Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings

Must be able to learn to write weld procedures when needed (training provided)

Knowledge and/or experience with Mig Welding

Familiar with AWS D1.5 is a plus

Candidate will perform in process and final inspections and work with our AISC quality control program

Other administrative tasks are included in duties

General computer skills with Word and Excel required

Knowledge of OSHA regulations are helpful but not necessary.

Some lifting required.

Salary will depend on experience. No relocation expenses offered.
