The Crude Scheduler, working under general supervision, is responsible for completing intricate volume scheduling, allocation, confirmation, and balancing tasks, collaborating with purchasers, pipelines, and well ownership. The role involves coordinating logistics, forecasting production, and monitoring actual daily production variances. The role contributes to optimizing market value by assisting in the preparation and monitoring of production, sales, and inventory reports, analyzing well flow and ownership data, and reviewing volume control provisions in agreements. The role also actively engages with stakeholders, approves invoices, and plays a pivotal role in maintaining efficient operations through effective communication and proactive decision-making.
•Assists in preparing and monitoring production, sales, and inventory reports to optimize market value, supporting Marketers in achieving peak performance.
•Effectively schedules and coordinates the movement of crude oil through gathering systems, truck unload facilities, and mainline pipes.
•Gains expertise in pricing components, product quality, and logistical costs to maximize profitability and contribute to profit analysis, ensuring informed decision-making.
•Analyzes system production flow data, imbalance, ownership, and maintenance data to calculate products available for sale, contributing to accurate sales forecasting and strategic planning.
•Work with marketers and downstream interconnects to manage/minimize inventory imbalances.
•Work closely with Accounting and Marketing on month-end close processes.
•Reviews gathering, transportation, and storage agreements for volume control provisions, ensuring meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
•Serve as intermediary between pipelines and operations regarding daily volumes, capacity, maintenance, and outages and understands oil flow and asset operations as it pertains to daily scheduling/movements.
•Monitors pipeline maintenance schedules, notifying relevant internal and external stakeholders of potential impacts on crude oil flow.
•Engages proactively with customers, transporters, and operational personnel, directing sales to the highest-value alternatives, and preventing operational swings through effective communication, ensuring optimal business outcomes.
•Reviews and approves gathering and transportation invoices for compliance and accuracy.
•Works under general supervision, actively participates in change efforts, and establishes influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, cultivating effective working connections.
•Develops an understanding of production, scheduling and pipeline systems and identifies opportunities for data quality improvement.
•Evaluates and recommends solutions independently, assesses scheduling risks, and demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete assignments, contributing to collaborative, goal-oriented team efforts.
Education:
•Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.
Experience:
•3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Volume Control, Maintenance Schedule Monitoring or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
