The CP 1 – Cathodic Protection Tester is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with the monitoring. Evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems. This role involves field data collection, routine inspections, and supporting senior CP personnel with system assessments and surveys.
· Perform pipe-to-soil potential readings, rectifier checks, and test station inspections
· Assist with close-interval surveys (CIS), current measurements, and other basic field evaluations
· Accurately document and report data using digital or paper-based systems
· Identify abnormal readings and report findings to supervisors
· Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed
· Follow company and client safety procedures at all times
· Support installation and troubleshooting efforts as directed
· NACE/AMPP CP Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Willingness to travel for field assignments, sometimes overnight
· Basic knowledge of corrosion or electrical systems preferred
