Position Description:
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Laboratory Maintenance Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:
•Repair and rebuild process laboratory equipment including but not limited to drying ovens, jaw crushers and fire assay furnaces. This includes preventative and predictive maintenance routes and area cleanup.
•Troubleshoot and repair of process laboratory instruments including but not limited to LECO, XRF, AAS, and ICP.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Four (4) years as a journeyman in industrial maintenance or two (2) years maintenance school (completed with certificate) preferred
•Understanding of lab equipment and instruments preferred
•Ability to operate Lab crushing and conveying systems preferred
•Ability to troubleshoot Lab equipment and instruments preferred
•Demonstrated ability to work from and understand operating manuals and drawings preferred
•Ability to troubleshoot and complete repair on all pumps, crushers, and conveyor systems preferred
•Exemplary safety and attendance records required
•Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
•Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required
•Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment preferred
•Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred
