Core Maker (Laempe)

Essential Functions:

- Responsible for forming, cleaning and packaging cores

- Operates automatic, semi-automatic or manual core making machine

- Select the appropriate core box from work order and set-up the machine, making all necessary operation adjustments

- Set up core box on machine

- Activates machine

- Ejects core from core box

- Remove fins from freshly blown cores

- Add filler compound to cores as deemed necessary

- Set timers for all operational sequences of the core machine

- Package cores on pallets with necessary materials for transport and storage in foundry

- Tag and label core #, customer and quantity of cores in each box on pallet

- Keep core boxes clean and report any excessive wear or damage to supervisor

- Tag core box before storage and update storage location on paperwork

- Clean, repair and assemble finished cores per instructions as needed

- Report production quantities and times for each work order

- Responsible for ensuring that quality systems function effectively and products meet customer requirements

- Responsible for following safety and environmental rules and regulations

- Performs housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Other Position Demands or Requirements: Math, computer and communication skills are necessary. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

- Lift 65 lbs. on an occasional basis

- Standing – frequent to continuous

- Walking – occasional to frequent

- Must be able to communicate with other employees

- Perform at a pace to keep up with production

- Comply with Company’s safety policy & procedures

- Abide by the established foundry working requirements (attitude, technique, efficiency, safety, attendance & housekeeping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
