The Lease Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of oil and gas wells, central facilities, and associated equipment. This role involves daily monitoring of production, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring accurate reporting of operational data. The Lease Operator plays a key role in identifying optimization opportunities, supporting environmental and safety compliance, and contributing to the overall performance of the asset team. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a field-based environment.
- Take full ownership for operation and maintenance of assigned wells, facilities and flowlines
- Monitor production volumes; use available tools and resources to identify and implement optimization opportunities
- Interface with the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) for optimization troubleshooting and data gathering requests
- Manage produced liquids and NGL’s including auditing run tickets for accuracy
- Report accurate production and downtime including detailed reasons for the downtime
- Input accurate well tests and fluid levels into Avocet
- Perform required maintenance and ensure needed work orders are submitted and adequately completed
- Be fit-for-duty and respond to call-outs when on call Cost Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and document opportunities to reduce costs
- Review invoices for accuracy and approve promptly
- Minimize overtime
- Perform basic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting prior to submitting a work request
- Complete all assigned and required training
- Find opportunities to sharpen skills on the job
- Develop mentor/mentee relationships
- Identify and participate in formal, professional training
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met (e.g. downtime, production reports, run tickets, seals, LPRS, etc.)
- Record and submit accurate timesheets and expense reports
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and safe condition

- Clean MVR and background and able to pass CES medical screening

- Ability to lift up to 40-50lbs, anything over 50lbs with assistance or a mechanical lift
