How You'll Make An Impact
- Collaborate with Senior Controls Engineers on various projects.
- Engage in software and industrial hardware design projects.
- Drive cost savings, reduce scrap, and improve first-pass yield performance.
- Work on PC integration design, robotic integration, AI/Deep Learning, and assorted controls.
- Create standard documentation and risk assessment documentation.
- Reverse engineer and redesign systems.
- Participate in risk assessment reviews.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in controls engineering design and development.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, Microsoft SQL, Linux, LabVIEW, and PC integration.
- Preferred experience with ABB Robots, Fanuc Robots, and/or universal robotics.
- Familiarity with Omron, Allen Bradley Rslinx, and Siemens.
- Understanding of NFPA 79, ISO 13849, ISO 61131-3, and IEC 61508.
- Experience in vision systems is a plus.
- Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
