We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and bring a strong background in accounting, including financial reporting.
- Oversee all accounting and finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, semi-monthly payroll, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Oversee human resources and benefits administration.
- Oversee IT including asset purchase and tracking, asset maintenance, software updates and renewals.
- Supervise accounting and administrative staff and support professional development within the team.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and present to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate and provide requested documentation for annual audits, stock valuation, and ESOP administration.
- Lead or serve on assigned committees providing analysis and guidance to members and Senior Leadership.
- Guide external CPA in tax planning and completion of annual tax returns.
- Coordinate and oversee all insurance policy renewals.
- Maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Oversee budgeting process and provide strategic insight to Senior Leadership.
- Collaborate with department heads/Senior Leadership to support operational and financial
decision making.
- Manage ERP software licenses, usage, and training for all staff.
- Establish and maintain banking and client relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of accounting experience.- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (ERP systems, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead/work with teams and manage cross-functional projects.
