THE POSITION: CCWD is seeking a qualified and motivated Control Systems & Instrumentation Engineer to support CCWD's water treatment and distribution operations. This position plays a key role in performing a wide range of control system engineering tasks related to the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of CCWD facilities, equipment, and systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects through all phases-from initial planning and design to construction, implementation, and close-out. This position also serves as a technical expert in control systems and instrumentation, providing critical support to various teams and ensuring reliable and efficient system performance.

When working in an office environment, must possess mobility to use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 25 pounds.
When working in the field, must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to sit, stand, and walk on level, uneven, or slippery surfaces and operational areas; reach, twist, turn, kneel, bend, stoop, squat, and crouch in the performance of assigned duties. Finger dexterity is needed to operate tools, instruments, and equipment.
Employees primarily work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees also work in the field and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road hazards, vibration, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, hazardous physical substances and fumes, dust, and air contaminants.

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical or electronic engineering, instrumentation or control systems engineering, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Please describe how your background meets or exceeds this requirement, including your degree(s), relevant coursework, training, or related professional experience.
