Under general direction operates mainline site Drawdown / Fill pumps and motors, monitors and regulates all measurement, pressure, and flow control devices using automated systems including DCS and Meter Prover Control Panel. Under general direction monitors system / equipment performance to ensure that operation performed is within specified / approved range and records data as needed for evaluation and historical purposes. Under general direction identifies requirements for, coordinates and facilitates necessary system / equipment adjustments as needed to maintain operation within approved range. Under general direction, directs, coordinates, and monitors any manual type system / equipment adjustments made by Field Operators or craft personnel. Records site events for historical purposes in the Site Operations Log. Records information involved with day to day monitoring of site pumping and volume measurement activities including but not limited to Oil Transfer and Brine to Gulf volumes. Serves as focal point for providing notification to appropriate personnel in the event of an emergency including Site Management, NOLA OCC / Duty Officer, State and Federal agencies Monitors and utilizes various types of site communication equipment including radio, telephones including cellular and satellite, paging systems, computer and fax Completes other related duties to ensure attainment of overall job objective and completes other assignments and special projects to support Company goals. May be required to periodically backfill other operations positions as deemed necessary by management to fulfill mission. Provides assistance in the development of and review of Fluid Movement Procedures Participates and supports numerous company programs including Continuous Quality Improvement, V.P.P., Behavioral / Line Control Safety, and ISO programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree Process Operating Technology from accredited school and three years of directly related experience in an oil and gas plant type environment. 1 year SPR experience preferable. Must be trained and qualified to operate site equipment using the DCS. Must have general knowledge of site field equipment and configuration. Must be able to perform at moderate physical exertion. Must have ability to read, write, and maintain good communication skills. Must have overall knowledge of and be capable of using computer to generate various reports. Must be capable of performing mathematics to solve problems involving progressive calculations. EXPERIENCE IN LIEU OF EDUCATION: Five years of directly related experience in an oil and gas plant type environment with 1 of the 5 years SPR experience preferable
