We’re seeking an onsite Controls Engineer II to lead the design, integration, and improvement of process control systems across our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, product quality, and safety through advanced automation and data-driven solutions.
- Design and integrate process controls to enhance productivity and reduce manual input.
- Lead large-scale projects (>$1M) in processing, packaging, and mining environments.
- Utilize Allen Bradley systems and data tools to drive improvements.
- Develop P&IDs, layouts, and project documentation.
- Support operations and maintenance with engineering expertise.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Travel up to 20%, with occasional extended stays.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- PMI certification or equivalent experience preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing and process control.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMI, and instrumentation.
- Experience with power distribution (480 VAC), switchgear, VFDs, servos, and instrumentation
- Strong troubleshooting skills using schematics and data analysis
- Advanced math and statistical analysis abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proficient in project management tools, databases, and spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and adapt to changing demands
