Contract - Marketing Copywriter

Duration:

Estimated as a 6-month contract. This is a part time role, with expected commitment of around 20 hours per week.

Location:

This is a hybrid role, located in Raleigh, NC. This person will be expected to go into the office 1 day per week.

Itron is seeking a talented Part time, Contract - Marketing Copywriter to join our team and help us drive our marketing efforts to new heights. As a Marketing Copywriter your primary focus will be on creating compelling promotional communications and managing marketing campaigns to drive engagement and sales.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Craft compelling, high-quality copy for a variety of marketing channels including email campaigns, social media posts, website content, product pages, brochures, and other promotional materials.

- Translate complex product features and technical information into clear, engaging, and benefit-driven copy.

- Conduct audience research to tailor messaging to specific customer segments and improve engagement.

- Support integrated marketing campaigns with persuasive content that drives conversions and brand awareness.

- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and grammatical accuracy.

- Monitor content performance and iterate based on engagement metrics and feedback.

Required Skills And Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.

- Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in technology-focused environment.

- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong grasp of grammar and tone.

- Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and formats.

- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital content optimization.

- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and marketing teams.

Preferred Skills And Experience

- Previous experience in developing and executing customer satisfaction surveys

- Experience working in a business to business environment
