Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Project Control Superintendent, you will be part of the Construction Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that Contractors comply with the contracts in place. The individual needs to be able to gather the right and concise information when dealing with claims coming from the contractors while maintaining a fair approach. They are also responsible for making sure invoices are received, reviewed, and approved within the given timeframe to reduce the number of accruals monthly. This position requires strong communication skills, written and verbal, to interact with the various parties, contractors, team supervisors, project control members, etc. In addition, the Lead Contract Administrator collaborates closely with multiple teams from all construction projects to develop synergies, drive process improvements, and optimize the usage of established tools. With a focus on proactive management and visibility of potential future/ongoing claims, this position provides critical information regarding the overall portrait of each contract to the upper management.
•Critically analyze major claims, maintain log registers with the contractual changes and monitor cost impacts of changes to ensure timely decision-making and project health
•Validate that costs are received and approved monthly for each contractor. Estimate upcoming costs based on actuals and current open items
•Oversee and mentor the contract admin team to promote high performance and effective collaboration
•Work closely with project control team—including cost control and planning—to integrate changes and maintain comprehensive project visibility
•Enhance the use of contact management tools and drive process improvements with forecast estimates at completion for ongoing contracts
•Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and solid partnerships with operation teams.
•Deliver detailed, data-driven reports and insights to project managers and upper leadership to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning
What You Need To Succeed
•Degree in a related field
•Background in contract law
•Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management
•3-5 years of experience in a similar role
•Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•Effective communication skills for conveying information to team members and stakeholders
•Proven ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
•Proficient in using Excel to generate and analyze KPIs for construction contracts, delivering interactive information
•Familiarity with project management language and methodologies
•Ability to adjust strategies to meet evolving project demands and challenges
•Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Work Schedule
•Work from CTMN offices and occasional site office
•Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
