Construction Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various construction projects such as trenchless sewer repair, water/gas/sewage line digging and installation and excavation. This role requires an understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project completion on time and within specifications.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.

- Perform site preparation, including digging, grading, and moving materials as required.

- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.

- Load and unload materials using dump trucks, loaders, and bulldozers when necessary.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills

- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators.

- Experience with commercial driving and loader operation is preferred.

- Knowledge of construction processes including building, grading, paving, and horizontal drilling.

- Ability to operate dump trucks, bulldozers, graders, and water trucks effectively.

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.

- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork on-site.

- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under pressure.
