Assistant Project Manager (3-Month Project Contract)
About Us:
DACK Consulting, a reputable and growing Construction Consulting/Management firm, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
•
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
•
Assist in obtaining and reviewing approvals for shop drawings, product data, and samples, ensuring effective communication across the project team.
•
Support the preparation of estimates for changes in work and review Change Order requests from subcontractors.
•
Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
•
Manage contract documents, electronic records, and project logs, ensuring updates and maintenance are current.
•
Facilitate the distribution of construction-related information to appropriate stakeholders.
•
Coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely release of materials and equipment for fabrication or manufacture.
•
Assist in preparing final project records, including close-out documents and Operations/Maintenance Manuals.
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited program.
•
Prior experience in building construction or engineering is preferred.
•
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
•
Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating initiative in project execution.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•
Proficiency in computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
•
Sound knowledge of construction practices, processes, and techniques.
Additional Information:
This is a 3-month project contract position with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
