Position Summary The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in developing and executing dynamic, multi-channel content strategies designed to amplify the company's brand presence, foster audience engagement, and expand its digital footprint. This role is responsible for assisting in the development of compelling communication materials and strategies that keep internal and external audiences well-informed and connected to the cooperative.
Essential Job Functions
•Support the development and execution of impactful communications campaigns that enhance member engagement and keep them informed about the state of the cooperative and its programs and services.
•Design, create, and update engaging communication materials, including social media content, website content, and member-facing materials, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
•Develops branded video, audio, and photo content ensuring alignment with the company's core messaging and mission.
•Proofread, fact-check, and review all communications-such as website updates, newsletters, social media posts, member messages, press releases, and more-to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with TCEC's brand standards, key messages, and mission.
•Support internal communication efforts by drafting engaging content for the cooperative's employee newsletter, intranet updates, and developing internal communications campaigns, ensuring cohesive messaging and fostering a culture of collaboration.
•Develop and implement content for TCEC's social media presence on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. Stay informed about emerging platforms and tools to continuously enhance social media engagement and strategy.
•Analyze traditional media, social media, and website performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies and recommend improvements.
•Assist in maintaining an organized communications calendar, coordinate deadlines, and help manage the department budget to ensure alignment with strategic goals and financial resources.
•Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to the dynamic needs of the Communications team and TCEC.
Position Requirements
•Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a focus in Graphic Arts, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
•Technical Proficiency: Proficient in or ability to learn quickly Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva (or similar tools); understanding of AP Style, ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
•Digital & Web Expertise: Experience with website management, publishing platforms, and membership systems preferred.
•Organizational Skills: Exceptional digital file management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Executes tasks proactively, often delivering ahead of deadlines while maintaining high quality.
•Communication Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating content that resonates with diverse audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the cooperative.
