We are seeking a Commercial Electrician with a background in data center and/or mission-critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in large-scale commercial facilities, with a focus on up-time, efficiency, and compliance. This role demands attention to detail, knowledge of advanced power systems, and a commitment to quality.
· Install, terminate, and test conduit, wiring, switchgear, and panels in commercial environments
· Use of a company truck to travel to various project locations throughout the state of Virginia focusing on central Virginia.
· Build and maintain electrical infrastructure for Data Centers (UPS systems, PDUs, busways, generators, etc.)
· Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and one-lines specific to data center power distribution
· Perform load calculations, cable pulls, grounding, and bonding for sensitive equipment
· Execute precise work under tight tolerances in high uptime environments
· Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and client specifications
· Collaborate with site Supervisors, General Contractors, and Engineers on project timelines
· Document work performed, update schematics, and assist in commissioning
· Uphold safety standards and job site cleanliness at all times
· 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical work
· 1+ year working in or around data centers or mission-critical systems (preferred)
· Deep understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including low-voltage and power distribution
· Familiarity with redundant power systems (UPS, backup generators, dual feeds)
· Comfortable working in live environments under strict protocols
· Proficient with conduit bending, panel installation, cable management, and terminations
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
· Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
· Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
The candidate will not be required to be on call after hours
