Provides supervision and mentoring to all employees for assigned electrical projects. Is responsible for meeting time and budget requirements established for all assigned projects. Ensures and enforces Company policies and procedures and ensures all employees under his/her supervision perform their job duties under the mindful practice of safety rules and regulations.
· Instructs employees on safe and healthful practices and provides continuous instruction to employees on general safety requirements of their job.
· Installs electrical components, systems and equipment as required by scope of projects.
· Is able to supervise and mentor Electrical Helpers and Provides supervision to subordinates on assigned job sites/projects.
· Trains and instructs subordinates on detailed procedures.
· Assesses and projects equipment, materials and labor needed to complete projects.
· Assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies for assigned projects and initiates requisitions for such items when necessary.
· Maintains cost, material and labor records (BuildOps) for assigned projects and submits completed reports daily with progress photos. Reports must be complete and accurate.
· Enforces and monitors safety regulations, rules, and working conditions.
· Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools.
· Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets and assembly schematic drawings.
· Communicates with employees, co-workers, customers and other trades with respect and professionalism.
· Confers with management and makes recommendations on proposed projects.
· May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime or adjusted hours as needed based on project demands.
· Demonstrates self-motivation and considerable desire to continue development in the electrical field including but not limited to Apprenticeship and Journeyman.
· Minimum of 5 years electrical industry experience
· Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months
· Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components
· Working knowledge of single phase and three phase wiring, motors, programmable controls, circuits and National Electrical Code & NFPA rules
