- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Execute route driving assignments across designated delivery areas, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license; experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently across various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers and dump trucks.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, load & unload procedures, route planning, and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo is a plus.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations including hours of service (HOS), safety standards, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
