Job Description

•

Assist in the preparation of monthly capital cost analysis

•

Coordination and assist in the preparation of the monthly capital management reports and required adhoc reporting

•

Assist in the lifecycle asset accounting from opening to closing, working with departments across site to ensure deliverables and requirements are met.

•

Assist in the preparation of quarterly, annual, and long-term business plans.

•

Support site end users with commercial process and adhoc analysis.

•

Special projects - Participating in special projects related to capital assets, including identifying, developing and implementing improvement initiatives.

•

Capital financial accounting/reporting – Support work to ensure that all capital asset accounting practices comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations, including:

+ Fixed Asset Register correctness and maintenance, coordinate physical verification of assets. + Statutory compliance and application of the respective accounting standards.

Qualifications

•

2 years applicable experience.

•

Preferably mining or manufacturing industry background as you will be involved in the workings of the operations across multiple levels.

•

Ability to work as a team player and independently demonstrating a willingness to exercise initiative.

•

Intermediate or above skills in Excel and high-level proficiency in Microsoft work, PowerPoint and other Office applications.

•

Experience using ERP systems, while specific experience with Pronto, Xeras, or OneStream systems an asset.

•

Degree qualified in Business Management, Finance or Accounting ideally.

Physical Requirements:

•

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.

•

Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.

•

Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.

•

Work is in a surface and underground mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.

•

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
