The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 4 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 4 weeks for rest. Privileges & benefits

Your future responsibilities
•The Water Treatment Operator performs the following tasks in compliance with current safety standards:
•Operate and maintain a drinking water treatment system.
•Operate and maintain a wastewater treatment system
•Operate and maintain mining water treatment systems.
•Oversee the application of regulations by ensuring that drinking water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and sludge disposal processes are under control.
•Sample, analyze and characterize raw, waste or treated water from a physical, physico-chemical and microbiological standpoint.
•Perform manual work and maintenance on water production and distribution equipment.
•Participate in process optimization and plant diagnostics.
•Compile and interpret data.
•Measuring levels in collection pools
Profile Sought
•Must have more than 3 years' experience in the field.
•Must hold a diploma, study certificate, qualification certificate or experience certificate stating that he/she has taken and passed a drinking water operator training course such as: Complete surface or ground water treatment and distribution network (OSTUD).
•Certificate of qualification in wastewater treatment.
•Knowledge of integrated decanter/thickener physico-chemical process water treatment; sludge recirculation is an asset.

•Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
