What we do:
We're making it easier to switch to an EV in B.C. The Government of B.C.'s CleanBC Roadmap to 2030 aims to meet the
Paris Agreement's emissions reduction targets for 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. The plan outlines action items across
eight pathways, including those needed to eliminate emissions from all new cars by 2035. To support the goal, we want to
make it easier for residents of British Columbia to make the switch to an EV.
Our EV Service Delivery team is responsible for B.C.’s public EV charging network. As more people make the switch to
electric vehicles (EVs) in B.C., our network of public chargers is expanding too. Over the next decade we're planning to add
3,000 more charging ports to our network. This will provide reliable EV charging for people in communities across B.C. and
along travel corridors, with extra support in busy urban areas. Throughout our network, you will find many sites with DC fast
chargers, Level 2 chargers, or a mixture of both depending on the location.
What you’ll do:
To support the EV Service Delivery team, we are responsible for building great relationships with our Site Hosts, and for
working with our partners (suppliers) to build, maintain, and operate our world class EV charging network. To power overall
team success, aligned with our 3-year strategic priorities and annual goals, you will:
1. Site Host Strategy – we are accountable and responsible to communicate with our EV Site Hosts and are
passionate about creating a differentiated experience for them, as partners to BC Hydro’s EV Service Delivery team.
a. Project manage the annual Site Host work plan. This includes ensuring our key Site Host activities happen on
schedule and with a high focus on customer experience.
b. Advance Site Host priority projects. Following a review of our annual survey feedback and ideas we will prioritize
several updates and improvements to our program requiring process improvement and collaboration across our team.
c. Monthly Stakeholder presentation. Take the lead to create a Director and Sr. Manager executive presentations to
review our Site Host program and progress.
2. Partner Strategy – we take the lead for our EV Service Delivery team to ensure we have the right partnerships
(suppliers), agreements (contracts), and performance enabling capabilities in place.
a. Manage our partner scorecard. This will include summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) in a defined
template, and working with key stakeholders to note variance rationale, risk, and mitigation strategies.
b. Advance Partner projects, driving improvements to our key business plan objectives.
