CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. The CNC Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
•Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production schedules.
•Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
•Utilize hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in machining processes.
•Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
•Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
•Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
•Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Skills
•Proficiency with setup, running, and making machine-side adjustments for CNC machines (required).
•The ideal candidate would have experience milling and turning.
•Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical documentation.
•Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tasks.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations.
•Competency in using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring devices.
