- Install, replace, and commission CNC machine tools and controls at customer locations
- Troubleshoot and repair fluid and electrical servo-activated systems
- Perform geometrical leveling and alignment of CNC machines
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components, including spindle units and gearboxes
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting of closed and open loop axes control systems
- Adjust CNC geometry and perform positioning axis compensation
- Set up and troubleshoot 5-axis Traori systems
- Configure and maintain automatic tool changers and tool management systems
- Utilize positioning, straightness, and geometry measuring lasers for machine alignment
- Lead acceptance testing with customers to ensure equipment meets specifications
- Provide maintenance training and hands-on support to customers
- Mentor and train junior service engineers in the field
- Communicate customer feedback and product performance insights to management
- High school diploma required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 4+ years of experience in the machine tool field, including maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repairs- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Proficient in interpreting electrical and fluid schematics
- Ability to read engineering blueprints and use hand tools
- Experience with personal computers and various software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in demanding situations and adapt to varying workloads
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 85%, primarily domestically with some international assignments
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of client facilities
- Preferred: Electrical background, military experience, knowledge of geometry, experience with hard pipes (rigid tubing), fluids (coolant, lubrication oil, hydraulic fluid), OSHA 10 or 30 certification, and generator maintenance
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed- 4+ years of experience in CNC Machine Tool maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
