CNC LATHE OPERATIONS

Koehler Instrument Co., Inc. is a leading manufacturer in the Petroleum / Petrochemical industry, providing quality testing instrumentation and technical support services for research and testing laboratories for more than 50 years. We currently have two openings in our manufacturing location with an opportunity to grow within. We are looking for experienced CNC Lathe positions to join our growing team.

CNC Lathe - Set up and Operate F/T – 2nd Shift Hours 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

$24-$29 per hour

The CNC Lathe setup is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating, within a team, a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Ø Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

Ø Program, setup and run CNC work centers, Lathes (Mori-Seiki Y axis a plus).

Ø Able to develop & write programs for the CNC lathe, working from prints, CAPS (Mori) a plus.

Ø Programs lathes, set tool offsets and compensation.

Ø Hold close tolerance of +/-.0005

Ø Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.

Ø Able to edit existing programs as necessary

Ø Capable to input programs into CNC from PC.

Ø Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Ø Monitor tools during operation for wear and breakage

CNC Lathe – Operator F/T Hours 8:30 to 5:00

$ 21- $24

The CNC Lathe Operator, day, is responsible for producing machined parts, within a team, using CNC machine programs; maintain quality and standard; maintain equipment operation and cleanliness.

Qualifications

Ø Live tooling is highly preferred

Ø Capable of reading micrometers & other inspection equipment

Ø Knowledge of sharpening tools a plus

Ø Functional and technical skills

Ø Attention to detail

Ø Ability to lift 100 lbs. with assistance
