CNC Machinist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency in using various precision measuring instruments. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
•Set up and operate Mazak M5 , to produce high-quality parts.
•Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
•Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
•Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and coordinate measuring machines, to inspect finished products for accuracy.
•Apply GD&T principles to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
•Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
•Assist in tooling selection and setup for various machining operations.
Qualifications
•Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
•Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
•Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and tools.
•Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
•Experience with Fanuc controls and coordinate measuring machines is preferred.
•Knowledge of GD&T principles is a plus.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
•Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies related to CNC machining.
