- Job Summary: CNC Machinist must be able to perform machine setup, geometry offsets and edits to produce acceptable products. Adhere to all company HSE, HR and QTS policies and goal., while functioning in all phases of the repair and manufacturing of drill string components maintaining production standards.
- Attend all company operation, safety meetings and complete required stop cards.
- To report dressed for duty when clocking in at start of shift, being at machine performing work, and producing on schedule.
- Breaks and lunch times are adhered to.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and goal strategies as to ensure machine productivity and quality.
- Cooperate with Foreman/Production Supervisor to prioritization of daily workload, production, scheduling, assigning employees jobs based on safety and operational needs.
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with fellow employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain product quality through working with Quality Control personnel.
- Maintain accurate/legible records of production and maintenance/clean area. Proper care of equipment.
- Being receptive to production supervisors' input on daily work activities and machine/program set up with training as needed to achieve daily production.
- Perform any responsibilities or other tasks as assigned by Production Supervisor, Foreman or Facility Plant Manager.
Facility Specific Responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand work or job travelers, prints, policies, and processes.
- Ability to do machine setups by interpreting program to be ran.
- Ability make geometry offset and make, non-thread element, program edits.
- Ability to use and both digital analog Calipers and micrometers
- Ability to safely lift, up to and including 35 lbs. within the companies HSE guidelines; ability to stand, turn, twist, bend, reach, stoop, etc. while performing job duties.
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment assigned to machine shop production.
- Ability to use developed math, reading, and writing skills within the scope of the job responsibilities.
- Expectation to obtain Quality Technical Service Code 70 certification.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or Vocational School
- Minimum 2 years' experience with CNC lathes.
- Physically able to stand, reach, and rotate for 8-10 hours per day
- Good Visual Acuity and Color Perception.
