Class 3 Integration

Leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components, equipment, and systems. Works in a safe manner according to all applicable industry/workmanship standards and required VFP standards.

- Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and workmanship standards.

- Interpret engineering drawings and documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, special instructions, and bills of material to make necessary electrical/mechanical connections.

- Proficient use of power-tools and machinery such as drills, saws, crimpers, threaders, benders, etc. in a safe and effective manner.

- Prepare and terminate various conductor types with proper bend radius, lug crimping, and torque requirements per manufacturer and/or VFP standards.

- Install/wire electrical items not limited to receptacles, switches, load centers, conduit, wireway, lighting, HVAC units, transfer switches, generators, relay panels, etc.

- Capable of climbing and working from ladders, working in cramped spaces, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs) in a safe manner.

- Maintain good housekeeping practices. Keep the work area clean and organized. Make sure work areas and aisleways are clear of tools, equipment, materials, and extension cords.

- Offers suggestions for product, manufacturing, and documentation improvements.

- Provide training and mentorship to other members of the department.

- Collaborate with other departments to meet production schedule needs.

- Communicates with department leadership in support of production planning and execution.

- Demonstrate good time management skills.

- Supports department growth and development by providing leadership, training, and mentoring other team members.

- Demonstrate professionalism in working with internal and external customers.

- Support customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) needs including installation and tear-down of test equipment or temporary power needs.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and facility upgrade activities to support business growth.

Knowledge/Skills

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Associate’s Degree or Certificate preferred.

5 - 10 years
