Civil Structural Designer

Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a dynamic company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the Oil and Gas industry is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill a role as an Int./Senior Civil/Structural Designer.

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management.

Responsibilities:

Foundations and structural steel plans/layouts/details

Working with other disciplines to develop drawings and construction packages

Understanding of Structural materials (ie. specifications) and when to use what type of

material/design/member

Developing or altering standard project specifications to meet specific project requirements

Integration of vendor drawings and materials into the overall design

Drafting structural technical details and specifying dimensions, materials, and

procedures using drawings, specifications and calculations using CADD software as

directed by design team members as needed.

Auto CAD, CADworks, and Navisworks

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

eight (8) years’

Western Canadian experience working with CADworks and Navisworks
