This job role specifically requires a Geotechnical Engineer (subset of Civil Engineering), with a minimum of BS in Geotechnical Engineering and minimum of 10 years practicing Geotechnical Engineering, including managing geotechnical/geophysical surveys.
The work will involve supporting Projects with fit-for-purpose recommendations for offshore geotechnical surveys, design criteria and execution plans. It will primarily involve leading offshore geotechnical surveys which encompasses leading multi-functional teams.
The individual will participate in technical bid evaluation in vendor selection process, work scope development, project cost evaluation, manage schedule, manage day-to-day execution of the survey program and participate in risk assessment process.
Preferable experience in leading offshore Geophysical and Geotechnical surveys and performing own geotechnical engineering assessments in support of offshore facilities (including jack up leg penetration, pile design and installation, and pipeline and risers soil interface).
A willingness to travel internationally is strongly preferred. Base expectation is that the individual will work at the ExxonMobil Houston Campus, though partial work-from-home arrangements are open for discussion.
