The Civil Engineer will plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of oil and gas well pads and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams, water supply systems, and other public works. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, experience with design software, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
· Plan and design civil engineering projects in accordance with company requirements and federal, state, and local regulations.
· Prepare engineering calculations, cost estimates, and technical reports.
· Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
· Conduct site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings).
· Assist in management of construction projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drilling, completions, production, water transfer, and local governing bodies.
· Ensure timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
· Monitor environmental, safety, and sustainability aspects of engineering projects.
· Review and approve project deliverables and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
· Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification (or working toward it).
· 3+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
· Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, etc.).
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
· Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with oil and gas well pad construction and infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.).
· Knowledge of local, state, and federal engineering codes and standards.
· Familiarity with GIS, BIM, or project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
