Brindley Pieters & Associates, Inc. is seeking a candidate with a Civil/Site Engineering background for Stormwater/Site Development projects to work in our Maitland, Florida office. · Florida P.E. License or ability to receive license within 6 months of hire
· Strong background in land development, drainage design, site grading, utility and stormwater management design, and permitting
· Familiarity with local, regional, and State of Florida design standards and code requirements
· Knowledge of engineering design standards, principles of building design, facility systems, utilities, critical development infrastructure
· Stormwater modeling using various programs (e.g. ICPR, MODRET, HECRAS, SWMM); Stormwater analysis using various programs (e.g. AutoCAD Stormtabs, Storm Sewer Analysis)
· Perform watershed and water quality assessments and conventional aspects of watershed planning and BMP prioritization
· Lead or support the design efforts for a variety of water resources and site development projects
· Reads and interprets civil engineering drawings and building plans
· Reads and interprets maps and land surveys to note land grading, structures, and other factors that could impact the site plan
· Generate reports to clearly articulate and support various calculations and/or analyses
· Represents our firm, client, project and related parties in public forums and meetings
· Support construction services by reviewing test reports and/or conducting tests, generating an engineer’s cost estimate, evaluating as-built conditions
· Generate and/or provide assistance with as-built plan preparation for certification
· Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling, and geospatial evaluations
· Prepare written and graphic reports and make presentations
