Join BBA and bring your Civil 3D expertise to life by leading the design of civil engineering projects in the mining sector. Based at our Montréal office, you’ll play a key role in designing tailings storage facilities, including dams, dikes and related infrastructure.
You’ll be at the heart of the action, contributing to a wide range of civil works from site utilities and grading to stormwater management and road design. Your CAD skills and knowledge of mining sectors will help shape our sustainable mining operations.
An overview of your mandates and responsibilities
- Support onsite civil development work, primarily plans and mine tailings design
- Communicate results and conclusions through discussions, visual presentations and project documentation
- Design and update complex configurations and plans based on written or verbal specifications from the project team
- Work with the project team to study and resolve issues with existing designs and make corrections to plans as requested by senior management
- Create and update the design file database for future reference
- Adhere to CAD standards specific to the discipline

- Diploma in civil technologies, preferably with demonstrated expertise in drafting/CAD technology or similar
- At least 5 to 8 years of experience preparing design drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Civil 3D for site development
- Proficiency in Muck 3D
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with national and local codes related to site drainage and erosion control
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings
- Asset: knowledge or understanding of the principles of surveying
- Asset: proficiency in ARC-GIs
