Position Summary

In the role of Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for properly maintaining and troubleshooting our Anodizing Process Tanks and our Waste Water Treatment System. This will involve laboratory work to analyze the baths, making the appropriate tank additions, as well as manual tasks such a cleaning filter presses.

- Perform Titrations and other lab analyses.

- Make chemical additions to our process tanks as required.

- Monitor and adjust out treatment settings of our Waste Water Treatment System

- Clean and or replace various filters as required.

- Work in a team or lead a crew of general labors on maintenance days.

- Maintain safe and clean working environment

- Other assigned work as required

What You Bring

- Completion of Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Chemistry, Diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technician preferred

- Experience using and calibrating lab analytical equipment

- Experience with routine maintenance operations

- Electro plating or anodizing experience would be an asset

Required Skills

- Understanding of in-organic chemistry

- Ability to work independently in a busy environment

- Experience with routine maintenance operations

- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a diverse working environment

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Strong attention to detail

- Willingness to do manual tasks, including cleaning filter presses
