Chemical Blender
Job Description
The Chemical Blender is responsible for completing daily operational duties to ensure quality control of the blending operations and safe completion of blends. The Chemical
Blender will also be responsible for all chemical movement in their assigned area while maintaining a pristine work environment.
Compensation & Associated Particulars
Hourly with overtime
Full time position
Base hourly wage – depends on level of experience
May have to work weekends or more than 8 hours per day
Must have a valid driver’s license (to be forklift certified)
Location – Midland, Texas (South of MAF and South of I-20)
Reporting Mechanism
The Chemical Blender reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and to the Master
Blender when the Manufacturing Manager is unavailable.

Specific Duties
•Prepare bulk blends and smaller blends (including drums).
•Stay with blend at all times while blending.
•If working in the reactor area, perform a JSA each day before starting.
•Perform a forklift inspection every morning before all else.
•Rope off area of chemical spills and clean up immediately.
•Report, repair and clean up leaks immediately.
•Ensure drums and totes are filled properly. Clean overflow of chemical before putting on line.
•Ensure bungs are tightened according to industry torque standards.
•Label drums and totes per SGB and industry standards.
•Work at practicing good housekeeping in all areas of the blend plant.
•Sweep floors and ensure work area is clean at the end of each day.
•Ensure bulk blending area is secure before leaving for the day.
•Assist in monthly inventory for entire yard.

•Able to operate forklift and be forklift certified.
•Unload tankers, totes, and drums as they arrive or leave for destination.
Verify volumes of what is unloaded.
If requested, catch lab sample and take to lab.
•Position includes such other acts, responsibility, authority, or other things as are or may be necessary to fulfill the overall purpose of the job.
Regulatory & Safety
•Job tasks require operator to be clean shaven based on respiratory protection procedures.
•Utilize safety and environmental measures at all times.
•Attend monthly safety meetings and annual training for certification requirements.
•Report accidents, injuries and near misses to Master Blender, Operations Manager or
Director of Safety as soon as possible.
