Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and assembly, with a strong understanding of manufacturing site operations and adherence to industry codes and standards. This role requires precision and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Must be certified and current in a minimum of (20) weld procedures.
Must be able to change out gas bottles and reset mixtures.
Must know and understand the use of hoists and their limitations.
Must be able to identify and inventory the different weld wires.
Must be able to weld x-ray castings per specification.
Must be able to identify the different casting alloys and ensure the correct filler wire,
gas and welder settings are used per the Welder SOP.
Must be proficient in the use of the air arc gouger in the cutting off of castings.
Must be able to identify and understand the different QA defect markings.
Must be able to correctly use a plasma torch.
Must be able to maintain welding and gouging equipment.
Must know and use the required PPE for the welding position.
Must know and understand all departmental and plant safety procedures.
Must be able to perform other duties within and outside the department as assigned.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
