Certified Overhead Crane Operator/Production worker

We are seeking a few dynamic candidates to join our Delta, OH location as Overhead Crane Operator.

Need for 2nd and 3rd Shift

Must have overhead crane experience. The ideal candidate would have experience in working in an ever-changing, fast-moving, and evolving environment and operating an overhead crane. Candidates who have worked within a manufacturing/distribution environment are highly preferred with Overhead Crane Experience.

Position Summary

Shipping Warehouse worker will be accurately staging products for loading. Will Load trucks with product via overhead crane. Moving materials within the warehouse for inventory and staging for next shipments via overhead crane.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Operating Overhead Cranes

- Accurately match numbers & letters

- Accurately stage and sort products for loading

- Loads and unloads trailer trucks

- Opens and closes dock doors

- Maintain a clean and safe work area

- Move materials within the warehouse with Overhead Cranes

- Complies with all safety requirements

- Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system

- Quality control

- Complete daily logs

- Communicate with Teammates from other shifts

- Attach identifying tags, and/or mark them with identifying information

- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs

- Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.

Job Requirements

Education

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

· Technical/Vocational Training a Plus.

Licenses/Certifications required

· Overhead Crane Certified/Trained

· Valid Driver's License

Experience/Skills

· Overhead Crane experience

· Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment a plus.

· Effective communication skills.

· Self-starter who is ambitious, technically sound, and is results driven.

· High sense of urgency.

· 2+ years of experience in shipping/warehouse

· 2+ years of experience working with computer/network systems (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/Inventory Management Software, etc.). Must be able to operate systems independently and with little oversight.

· Ability to understand and operate according to company safety procedures.

· Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.

· Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.

· Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

· Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.

· Ability to perform simple arithmetic.

· Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.

· Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

· Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body.
