CDL Yard Driver

Position: Active CDL Yard Driver

Job Description: Shuttle empty and/or loaded flatbeds throughout the facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work 45-60 hours weekly (Every other Saturday 6 am – Noon).

2. Drive tractor trailer.

3. Move trailers.

4. Make local deliveries occasionally.

5. Put empty/loaded trailers in proper location.

6. Ensure that materials are securely loaded on trailers.

7. If repairs are needed, report what needs to be done to Supervisor.

8. Keep trailer storage area free of debris.

9. Keep truck clean as needed.

10. Able to pull empty or loaded trailers (45’ – 80’) in length.

11. Able to back in loads 45’-80’ in length.

Preferred experience or degrees: High school diploma or GED preferred. Current/Active CDL A license required, Clean driving record, Minimum 1 year experience driving flatbed, 2 years driving experience required

Job requirements: Must be able to communicate well with others and understand written and verbal instructions. Requires constant sitting, occasional standing, ability to climb on and off truck/trailers. Ability to pass pre-employment physical/drug screen/background check.

- Flatbed and truckdriving: 1 year (Preferred)
