Job Description
The CDL Winch Truck Driver / Operator is responsible for safely operating and driving a winch truck equipped with a mechanical winch and, when required, a float (flatbed trailer) to load, transport, and unload heavy oilfield or industrial equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, frac tanks, open-top tanks, separators, manifolds, pipe racks, catwalks, and other field support equipment.
This position will occasionally require operating a 50-ton mobile crane at oilfield sites.
This position combines skilled driving, mechanical operation, and safe rigging and lifting practices to support field operations with maximum efficiency and safety.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to Driving Duties (CDL):
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation in compliance with company and DOT standards.
- Operate mobile and/or fixed cranes to lift, move, and position loads according to project needs.
- Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and job site plans.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of crane equipment.
- Communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to ensure safe operations.
- Follow all OSHA, ANSI, and site-specific safety guidelines.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Valid CDL Class A or B (with a clean driving record).
- NCCCO Certification or equivalent (Swing Cab Cert).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum [2+] years of experience operating swing cab cranes.- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety standards
- Experience in energy industry preferred.

Compensation Information
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
