Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including commercial driving, and will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Responsibilities
•
Operate a crane truck carrying steel beams. Using the crane to place beams and material for customers.
•
Load and unload cargo securely to ensure safe transport.
•
Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
•
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
•
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
•
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.
•
Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Skills
•
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
•
Familiarity with various truck types such as roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and delivery vehicles.
•
Strong understanding of load securing techniques and safety protocols.
•
Excellent route planning and navigation skills using GPS or maps.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•
Good physical stamina for long hours on the road and handling cargo.
•
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
