We are hiring immediately for a Category Manager- a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

Individuals will have Direct & Indirect Procurement with a strong background in power generation goods and services to support Aggreko’s North American operations. This role is key to driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and operational reliability through strategic sourcing and category leadership.

You will manage critical indirect categories that support our fleet, field service operations, and infrastructure—including mechanical parts, engines, generators, maintenance services, and plant-related expenditure.

What you’ll do:

- Develop and implement category strategies for power generation equipment, service contracts, spare parts, and plant services supporting Aggreko’s modular power fleet.

- Drive sourcing initiatives including RFx, supplier negotiations, and contract development aligned with Aggreko’s operational goals and sustainability targets.

- Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Fleet Engineering, Field Services, and HSE to understand technical requirements and ensure alignment with procurement strategy.

- Manage supplier performance through structured KPIs, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Identify cost savings opportunities and value levers through spend analytics, total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling, and supplier consolidation.

- Support business continuity by identifying and mitigating supply risks, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service from vendors.

- Contribute to ESG and diversity sourcing goals, collaborating with the global procurement team to advance Aggreko’s sustainability commitments.

We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPSD, PMP, CIPS) are a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in procurement or category management, preferably in power generation, energy, or industrial services.

- Proven expertise sourcing indirect goods and services, such as engines, generators, mobile plant services, and MRO support.

- Experience working in a matrixed or multi-site environment; ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.

- Proficient in SAP, M3, or similar ERP/procurement platforms.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.

- Willingness to travel within North America (~10–20%) as needed.
