Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Equipment Operator (Tech 4) in our Carlin Open Pit Mining Operations department.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

•

Proficiently operates two types of support equipment.

•

Understands inspections and operating systems - Uses proper operating techniques to maximize production and extend the life of the equipment, Properly uses equipment to eliminate wheel or track spin, Learning CAES screen and all its relevant functions, Uses proper ripping techniques.

•

Communicates with loading units and truck drivers as needed.

•

Demonstration of responsibilities - Responds to spill rock calls and maintains travel ways as needed, Demonstrate competency in sloping practices (slot dozing, pushing to shovels, etc.), Able to maintain grade, both level and inclined, Takes responsibility of work area for safe, efficient operation, Is competent in ore control flagging as seen in the field, Follow proper cleanup procedures at loading units, Demonstration of leadership skills.

Dump/road maintenance - Demonstrates proper dump maintenance and understands the impact of changing ground conditions, Competent in road maintenance, berm height, grade, drainage, cross slopes, super, and crown.

Demonstrates safe work performance and holds others accountable.

•

The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
