Description:
The Finance team at Flatiron Energy is the analytical and execution team that evaluates greenfield projects, M&A opportunities, and capital market transactions to drive the business forward. This role puts you at the center of groundbreaking energy projects—exposing you to diverse markets, capital structures, and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in renewable project finance.
- Support execution of project and corporate transactions, including construction financing, term loans, tax equity and transfer products, corporate / Holdco facilities, and corporate equity.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support project valuation, assessment of investment opportunities and identification of key risks and value drivers.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial metrics presented to senior decision-makers.
- Collaborate with teams to develop financial tools and processes that enhance efficiency and support key decision making across the organization.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to address investor due diligence requests, support third party consultants on project financings, and assist with data room management.
- Present project economics and deal information to senior leadership to facilitate informed investment decisions regarding market risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field preferred
- Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, M&A, or similar role with preference given to renewable energy and/or transaction focused experience.
- Financial modeling skills, with the ability to manage complex and dynamic financial structures, including debt and tax equity.
- Strong critical thinking skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, with a collaborative mindset, curiosity, and resourcefulness.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with keen ability to concisely explain complex concepts and drive consensus amongst various stakeholders.
- Expert proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
